Signs your valve needs replacing
Smell of gas
A smell near the boot or cylinder after filling usually points to a valve or joint leak.
CNG drops overnight
The gauge falls while the car is parked — gas is escaping somewhere.
Stiff or stuck knob
The manual shut-off is hard to turn or doesn't close fully.
Damage or rust
Visible corrosion, a bent body or damaged threads after an accident.
Smell gas right now? Close the cylinder valve, switch the car to petrol or turn it off, open the windows, avoid sparks and call us on +91 93424 24356.
How we replace it
- Inspection to confirm the leak point (valve, pipe or joint)
- Safe de-gassing of the cylinder
- Old valve removed; neck threads inspected and cleaned
- New certified valve fitted with the right sealant and torque
- Refill and leak test with detector and soap solution
- Handover with valve details recorded for your next test
If your cylinder's hydro test is due within the next few months, we'll suggest combining both — the valve has to come off for the test anyway, which saves you a visit.
